Olympus BH2

This is the main microscope I use for almost all pictures. It is equipped with the default BHTU-112 model components plus Carl Hunsinger's 3D printable accessories for Darkfied, Oblique and Rheinberg illumination. It is not capable of doing DIC or phase contrast (yet!). Despite the smooth turning knobs and excellent optics, this microscope is old enough to be my father!

Amscope B100 Series

I picked up this microscope to practice disassembling and repairing parts without fear of damaging my dear Olympus. It is equipped with the default Amscope B100 Series components plus a mechanical stage. I sometimes use it for pictures due to convenience because its eyepieces fit Swift's Universal Phone Adapter (Olympus' do not). The swing out filter holder is also very convenient.

My First Lab Duoscope

Suitable to its name, it was my first microscope! A kind stranger I met on Reddit had it sitting on a closet for over 10 years and gave it to me. Despite its simplicity, I still use it a lot in order to observe samples on the spot. It is powered by batteries, so I can throw it in my backpack and check my samples before bringing them home.

iPhone SE 2020 + Phone Adapters

This is what I use in order to take pictures. In the distant future I hope I can upgrade to a DSLR camera.

All my pictures are edited in one way or another! Specially when using a lower quality camera, pictures are never on par with reality. I make edits mostly to make pictures closer to what I am seeing on the microscope. But sometimes I'll clean up dust and debris or alter composition.
